These photography-based scavenger hunt prompts are intended to get participants to engage in their surroundings and notice things around them in new ways.

Cameras or phones to take pictures with
SUGGESTED PROMPTS
Create a scavenger hunt with prompts. Possible prompts include:
Take a picture of 3 places that are homes (plant, animal, human)
Make a sound recording or video of a bird or animal
Find and take a picture of 3 different types of tree
Take a picture of something that is very small
Take a picture of something smooth and something textured
Take a picture showing something transforming or changing
Take a picture showing how two plants are connected or in relationship to each other
Take a picture of something colorful
Take a picture of yourself engaging or connecting with your surroundings
Take a picture of 3 different plants you don't know the names of yet
Identify these plants (You can use a plant identification app or another resource)
Use a language app, or speak to a member of the community to translate the three plants you found into a different language.
A scavenger hunt could also include particular activities such as:
Cleaning up garbage in the area
Find a spot and practice meditation for at least 5 minutes
Get active outdoors - go for a walk, run, hike or other activity outside
Make a drawing based on something you see outdoors
